Losing your sibling was devastating. Like many others who have experienced this disenfranchised loss you may have felt invisible in your grief and craved to be around others who could relate to your experience. This one day retreat will provide that and more.
On Saturday November 16th, join us at Bella Terra Stables in Murrysville, Pennsylvania for an event that will exceed your every expectation…
It’s the perfect backdrop for connecting with others, time for respite, and processing your grief no matter how long ago your sibling died.
This event is presented by Angela M. Dean PsyD, FT, Laura Rausch, LCSW, and Elizabeth Schandelmeier, LCSW, APHSW-C, FT in conjunction with Bella Terra Stables, The Broken Pack™, LLC, & Howling Lion Grief Support.
So, what exactly are we going to do?

9:30 AM : Arrival &Check-In (Continental Breakfast Provided)
10:00 AM: Session 1 (with the horses) – Therapeutic Observation & Perceptions
10:45 AM: Session 2 – Group Discussion
11:00 AM: Sharing Your Sibling Loss Story
12:00 PM: Lunch (provided) & Time to explore the farm
1:00 PM- 2:00 PM: Session 3 – Breakout Group**
2:00 PM-3:00 PM: Session 4 – Breakout Group**
3:00-3:15 PM: Break
3:15 PM: Session 5 – Reflection, Discussion, & Announcements
3:30 PM: Session 6 – Guided meditation with the horses
*Itinerary is subject to change based on needs and interests of the group.
** Small Group Breakout Sessions will be 1 hour of therapeutic work with the horses and 1 hour of Exploring Sibling Grief & Narratives (topics may include navigating family dynamics, holidays, honoring your sibling and continuing relationships, difficult relationships, etc. Please let us know what you would like to discuss when you register.)
*** The even will be held rain or shine or snow as most activities can occur inside. That said, it is on a farm and may be muddy. So, please dress appropriately for the weather.
